LOCAL PLAN

Sevenoaks District Council has now published its Draft Local Plan, which sets out its policies and proposals for development over the next 15 years. Government has set a housing requirement for more than 17,000 new homes across the Sevenoaks District, including more than 1,400 new homes in Hartley and New Ash Green.

Sevenoaks District Council will be hosting a series of ‘pop-up’ sessions across the District. These sessions will provide an opportunity for residents to speak directly with officers from the Strategic Planning Team and learn about the Local Plan. These sessions can be booked online, using the website link below.

If you are unable to attend any of the District Council sessions, Hartley Parish Council will be organising and hosting a drop in session (no need to book), on

Between 6p.m. and 8p.m.                                
 at Hartley Village Hall, Ash Road, Hartley DA3 8EL 

Details of the Plan are available online at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/emerginglocalplan. Alternatively, hard copies are available for inspection in Hartley Library and the Parish Office during normal opening hours.               

Representations about the Plan can be made online or by post and must reach Sevenoaks District Council at the Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 1HG by 11.59p.m. on 11th December 2025.
